Investigations and public scrutiny of Te Pati Māori and John Tamihere’s various electoral campaigns and state contracts are finally starting to happen. Inquiries at varying levels now involve the Electoral Commission, the Police, Statistics New Zealand, and Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora. The Ministry of Social Development, Charity Services, and the Privacy Commissioner have also been involved.
Some of these things should be easily dealt with. If you haven't sent in your annual accounts - you lose charitable status and government contracts and have to reapply.
It's a shame that the powers that be are probably too afraid of being called racist in this instance to deal with the litany of issues highlighted. I know one thing for sure....if it was Brian Tamaki, he would have already had everything taken off him....so why the inconsistencies with John?
Heres hoping these articles are putting pressure on the agencies involved to do some investigation and get to the real truth...not the Tamihere truth.
